Automation Engineer

Job Description

The purpose of this contractor is to temporarily backfill a member of the Automation team. This roll is meant to alleviate the impact on the team until those members return.

Tasks for Automation Contractor –
1. Identify and create a central list of all 3rd party FTP connection contacts (both inbound and outbound)
– Update 3rd party contact list on Confluence (Wiki).
2. Migrate legacy Automations to new standard documentation.
3. Review existing documentation and ensure internal contacts/owners are up to date and dependencies (upstream and downstream) are noted and add troubleshooting steps.
4. Review automations for current use and chance of decommission.

Skills –
* Experience with Confluence, JIRA or other Atlassian products.
* Strong verbal and written communication.
* Patience and attention to detail is essential.
* Experience working with FTP connections and 3rd party contacts directly.
* Experience working with project teams with challenging timelines.
* Financial industry experience is a plus.
* Experience reading and/or writing automation scripts is a plus (Python, Powershell, VB, etc…).
