Operations Technology is responsible for building and operating the technology platform catering to critical business processes at our Company including Settlements, Confirmations, Regulatory Reporting, Position Keeping, Corporate Actions processing and other post-trade functions. The Firm operates at scale with up to 40 million trades processed on peak volume days and hundreds of billions of dollars of daily settlements with activity ongoing in multiple countries and currencies across the globe. There is a great breadth of financial products that our Operations plant handles across equity and fixed income, from cash products to complex derivatives and loans.

Team Profile:
Global Settlements technology team has significant presence. We are organized into Agile delivery teams closely aligned with Operations product owners, and there is an opportunity to directly see the business benefit of the solutions we develop through our close partnership with our stakeholders and users. Role:
We are looking for a Senior developer, preferably with exposure to Cloud Architectures & public cloud offerings. Role requires taking ownership for end to end delivery in an Agile team setting. You will have to interact directly with the users and with technologists across the firm to deliver components of the strategic Settlement platform and integrate them with the other systems in the firm and externally. If you have a track record of delivering large-scale distributed applications, preferably on Azure/Cloud, we’d like to meet you.

Qualifications:
Skills required (essential):
– Hands-on with 5+ years experience in designing & building distributed transactional systems.
– Excellent working knowledge of Java programming & Middleware (Messaging, Caching).
– Sound understanding of design patterns, system resiliency, observability, scalability and performance.
– Understanding of Cloud-based application development preferably using Microsoft Azure Cloud.
– Understanding of Databases (NoSQL / document store, RDBMS).
– Experience of Agile development practices.

Skills desired (recommended):
– Prior experience in FinTech application development.
– Exposure to working in a global delivery team.
– Experience of leading and mentoring developers.
