Packaging Production Operator
Job Description
This position requires you to wear a respirator for your safety, and as such, employment is contingent upon you being able to complete a medical evaluation with satisfactory results prior to the start of your employment. The medical evaluation is conducted via an external vendor assigned by the Company. Details will be provided to you during the onboarding process.
This position safely operates packaging equipment to package commercial scale batches in accordance with the Packaging Order while following applicable SOPs and maintaining cGMP and compliance. This position will be responsible for verifying that correct packaging components are being issued prior to use, completing in-processing testing and performing line clearances.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• With minimal supervision, assist in the packaging and labeling of full commercial scale batches, scale-up, development and CTM batches.
• With minimal supervision, assemble, disassemble, clean and store packaging equipment.
• Document packaging and labeling steps in batch records accurately and completely as required; demonstrate ability to complete documentation with minimal errors.
• Perform start-up and in-process testing accurately and ensure properly documented.
• Become proficient in performing functions in QAD.
• Assist the Packaging Line Team Leader as needed.
Education or Equivalent Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of packaging experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.
Physical Requirements:
• Position requires the ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted, and push a maximum of 100 lbs.
• Majority of work day is performed while standing and walking.
• Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
• Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, twist, and have full range of motion in upper and lower extremities.
• Exposure to moving machinery parts, and damp, humid and wet environments.
