Enterprise Technology & Services (ETS) delivers shared technology services to the Firm, enabling all stages of the Firms software development lifecycle, including productive coding, functional and integration testing, application releases, and ongoing management and support for over 3,000 production solutions. End User Technology, a part of ETS, delivers integrated workplace technologies that include endpoint OS platforms, productivity / collaboration technologies, enterprise mobile solutions and multimedia. Application and end user services are delivered on scalable, secure and reliable infrastructure using a blend of private on-premises and publicly hosted cloud services. We are undergoing significant technology changes, focused on increasing the productivity of our staff both individually and as groups, whether they are in the office or working remotely. Transformative programs are influencing desktop, server, collaboration and workplace products to enhance the overall end user experience. The adoption of Agile and DevOps methods are setting the pace of these programs.
Job Description:
This position offers the selected candidate a chance to use and grow their product ownership skillset by joining an existing global team of colleagues servicing our global Company employee base. As Product Owner, this role sits within a Squad driving the product strategy and delivery across a suite of electronic records archive technologies. Stakeholders will include Application Development, Legal & Compliance, Risk, Information Management and front office Business lines across the firm. The role will also liaise with supporting vendors, which can include coordinating contractual requirements and vendor SLAs. A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate understanding of agile principles, experience with enterprise level software deployments and an aptitude to engage executive level stakeholders.
Responsibilities Include:
– Establish and maintain regular ceremonies with multiple stakeholder groups to manage business requirements, define product roadmaps and prioritize new demand.
– Present business cases to executives and committees to secure funding, seek agreement on product direction, gain acceptance around risks and issues.
– Ensure development and delivery teams are aligned with product strategy and customer expectations across features and timelines.
– Manage technology vendor relationships
– Partner with Sourcing and Business Management to drive supplier contracts, renewals and related spend.
– Manage products to an acceptable total cost of ownership (TCO) for stakeholders
– Stay abreast of industry trends and aware of the competitor landscape.
Required Skills:
– 7+ years of relevant experience in Technology, with Financial Services exposure as a plus
– High emotional intelligence with ability to influence customer outcomes
– Competence in modern work styles (Agile, Scrum/Kanban) and tools (Jira, Roadmunk, ServiceNow etc.)
– Previous experience as a Product Owner or similar function preferred
– Experience with Stakeholders engagement focused on documenting user stories and driving prioritization of the book of work
– Experience with enterprise archiving solutions leveraging technologies such as Azure considered a plus
– Practical experience with Microsoft 365 (cloud offerings)
– Experience with large scale electronic record keeping e.g., email, instant messaging, electronic document related initiatives a plus
– Polished verbal and written communication abilities
– Familiarity with navigating enterprise scale environments
– Comfortable taking ownership, risks and accountability for decisions
– Bachelor’s degree or higher
