Dental Hygienist

Job Description

* Using dental instruments and hygiene equipment, performing dental prophylaxis and scaling and root planning.
* Instruct patients in preventive dental techniques.
* Assisting a high number of patients as required.
* Ability to work with dentists, assistants, student assistants and volunteers.

SKILLS/EDUCATION NEEDED:
* Must have a clear and current Florida Dental Hygiene license
* Must have a current/active CPR certificate
* Knowledge of dental terminology
* Knowledge of dental hygiene principles and practices
* Skills using dental instruments and equipment and performing dental prophylaxis and scaling and root planning.
* Ability to instruct patients in preventive dental techniques.
* Ability to work with dentists, assistants, student assistants and volunteers in a way that promotes teamwork and the betterment of the residents of Marion County
* Bilingual (English/Spanish) – highly preferred
* Pediatric Experience – highly preferred
