Senior Production Support Lead

Position:
Looking for a lead with 10 plus years of experience to lead our production support team. The individual should have experience in leading a team and extensive knowledge of Azure platform including but not limited to ADF, Databricks, Cosmos, Azure Functions and SQL. This position supports the Data platform & application development and works across the team and across each of our businesses to drive programs and strategic initiative execution. Will have prime responsibility in focusing on Production support of the Data platform, developing solutions, and Level 1 support of the applications. The role will work closely with Global Family Office, Wealth Management, Finance, Operations, and the lines of businesses to ensure that the technology organization is delivering along priorities for the firm and individual groups.
Responsibilities:
o Work with the prod support team to review batch stream and monitor jobs.
o Escalate to vendor and SME’s when files do not arrive on time or there are issues with data on file(s).
o Level 1 production support (such as re-process jobs that failed because of environmental issues).
o Escalate if SME support is required to rerun the jobs.
o Review that outbound files are sent out per SLA and escalate as needed.
o Review production errors – work with the SME to fix the error, test and promote the revisions to production.
o Work with application teams and coordinate all production implementations; make sure all required artifacts are included in implementation checklist (function as release coordinator and work with our team on production implementations so as to be aware of changes and facilitate quality monitoring of the overnight processes – an already existing implementation checklist can help support this).
o Validate all the applications are ready for SOD processing.
o Produce daily reports with job stats and performance.
o Keep management updated of any issues/concerns in a timely manner.
o Work with development teams to fix the issues.
o Test environments data managements and performance.
o Create strategies and plans for data capacity planning, data security, life cycle data management, scalability, backup, disaster recovery, business continuity and archiving.
o Communicate with all stakeholders, project team in a timely manner and escalates issues & Risks.
Qualifications & Required skills:
• More than 10+ years of implementation knowledge of large complex Data platforms.
• At least seven to 10 years of professional experience in supporting the production applications.
• Expertise in Data Quality, Data profiling, Data governance.
• Deep understanding of ETL, data ingestion/cleansing and engineering skills.
• Strong problem solving, influencing, communication and presentation skills.
• Technical experience and knowledge, with depth / Subject Matter Expertise in:
o Microsoft Data Platform Cloud solutions.
o Data Ingestion and Storage including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake.
o Data Engineering including Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks with experience with Python and T-SQL.
o Relational Databases including Azure SQL, NoSQL Databases including Cosmos DB.
o Data Governance, Data Catalog, Master Data Management.
