Position Summary
The IT Project Manager, M&A will use project management methodologies and best practices to deliver projects on time and within budget. He/she will be working in a fast paced and dynamic team environment handling IT M&A projects – IT integration for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and site expansions. He/she will work closely with other infrastructure and application teams to design, plan, migrate and implement technical solutions including leading and directing project resources through to implementation, in a global environment.
The Reporting Relationship:
The position reports to the IT Program Manager, M&A.
Key Competencies
• Documented project management skills.
• Good analytical skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office including Project, Visio, Word and Excel are required. Familiarity with PPM tools.
• Must have a good understanding of ITIL.
• Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Self-motivated with the ability to function independently with minimal supervision in a deadline driven work environment.
• Effective communication skills to speak to all levels of the organization.
• Experienced in managing external vendors for project support, data migration, system integrations.
• Able to work in a global environment and build relationships remotely.
• Operates using a high standard of excellence and precision for a 24×7 operating environment.
• Experience working in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform project leadership functions, such as preparing project plans, monitoring and reporting on project progress, highlighting risks against the plan and desired solution, and mentoring team members.
• Communicate frequently with all project stakeholders to provide project status, risk analysis, technical recommendations and resource constraints that may impact strategic direction.
• Create, manage and update tasks, resource allocation and the overall project timeline.
• Manage multiple project budgets keeping a tight control on costs.
• Provide subject matter expertise to the team throughout the project life cycle by acting as the liaison to the respective design, development, quality assurance and support teams.
• Support project implementations which often occur outside of standard business hours.
• Gathers and reports daily/monthly team metrics for responsible projects.
• Perform related duties as assigned or requested.
