Supply Chain Specialist – Planning

Job Description

I. Department Overview:
The Supply chain department/material specifications is responsible for material specifications of all incoming
materials needing quality inspection for release. This department follows approved materials SOPs. The team
supports other departments in in the requirements for receiving material.

II. Specific Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities:
A Material Specification Sheet Specialists primary duty is to author and route material specification sheets
that house critical quality attributes for materials used in the facility. This includes ensuring key attributes of
items are properly identified in the Procurement and ERP System and those materials requiring quality
release have appropriately defined specifications established.
* Accurate set up creating/maintaining specifications for raw materials, bulk drug substances, cell
banks, components, production supplied and finished products.
* Initiate/coordinate Change Controls according to regulatory guidelines.
* Developed knowledge and skills through formal training or considerable work experience.
* Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision
* Actively participates, suggests solutions to problems.
* Maintain compliant by completing all training within the required timeline using Compliance Wire
training system.
* Perform additional duties as requested.
