Job Description:
This position supports all key functional accounting areas including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, general accounting, month-end closing, and audits.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Site liaison for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Execute various accounting tasks, including intercompany transactions, prepaids, and accrual accounting
• Support month-end closing activities
• Formulate and update accounting policies and procedures pertinent to assigned responsibilities
• Support Concur and P-card programs
• Review or prepare reconciliations for assigned general ledger accounts
• Establish and maintain detailed procedures for all desk-level activities
• Aid in coordinating and managing audit programs and meeting SOX requirements
• Provide transactional support as necessary
• Ensure compliance to Generally Accepted Accounting Policies
• Identify and actively participate in initiatives aimed at process improvements
• Participate and engage in special projects and initiatives as needed
Education or Equivalent Requirements:
• Associate degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration, with at least 3 years of experience in accounting or finance, and familiarity with US GAAP and SOX
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, with at least 1 year of experience in accounting or finance, and familiarity with US GAAP and SOX
• Demonstrated proficiency in Excel
• Exhibit technical ability to create, analyze, and interpret financial and operational data/reports
