Product Manager
Job Description
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including:
· Gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements
· Defining the product vision
· Ensuring that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals
· Gain a deep understanding of customer experience:
o Identify and fill product gaps
o Generate new ideas that grow market share Improve customer experience
o Drive growth
o Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
o Develop product pricing and positioning strategies
o Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
· Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact
· Work closely with engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources
· Drive product launches including working with public relations team, executives, and other product management team members
· Evaluate promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed
· Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding
· Represent the company by visiting customers to solicit feedback on company products and services
General Skills:
· Experience delivering MRDs and PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification
· Experience working with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities Experience running beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples becoming an expert with respect to the competition
· A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines, managing competing priorities and client relationship management experience
Experience and Skill Set Requirements
Product Management – 40%
· Experience in managing end-to-end product lifecycle from requirement gathering to product retirement
· Experience in documenting and presenting product roadmaps, requirements, backlog, functional description and user guides
· Experience working with implementation teams to build and roll out products
· Experience providing support to CRMs and Operations staff
Platform Technologies – 20%
· Knowledge of Web Servers, Application Servers, Tools such as Ansible, Kubernetes/OpenShift Container Platform
· Experience with Application hosting service models, pricing, licenses, platform evergreening
Integration Technologies – 20%
• Knowledge of Gateways, APIs and Managed File Transfer systems
• Knowledge of various integration protocols like SOAP, REST, GraphQL etc.
Project Management – 15%
• Experience in the developing and managing plans for medium to large projects, including resource management, RAID management and stakeholder management.
Public Service Experience – 5%
Must:
* Experience with Platform services, APIs and databases.
* Experience in structured methodologies for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of products and services
* Experience in managing end-to-end product lifecycle from requirement gathering to product retirement
* Experience in documenting and presenting product roadmaps, requirements, backlog, functional description and user guides
* Experience in the developing and managing plans for medium to large projects, including resource management, RAID management and stakeholder management.
