Platform Architect, Enterprise Architect and Application Architect
Job Description
The impact you will have in this role:
* Responsible for creating, communicating, and facilitating alignment to enterprise-wide application architecture, technology strategy and standards, architecture and design principals, guidelines, and common solutions.
* Responsible for advancing application architecture in support of our business and IT strategy and developing roadmaps and blueprints to ensure architecture goals are met in both tactical and strategic frames.
* Collaborating with Clients & Partners – To collect and assess the requirements and provide optimal strategically aligned solutions.
The individual should be proficient in one or more following areas:
1. Enterprise Capability / Service design and IT Service Management
2. Event driven architecture using Kafka platform.
3. Data warehousing, data transport, analytics and reporting utilizing SnowFlake Platform and its services.
4. Enterprise implementation of standardized application deployments using AWS platform with broad understanding of AWS services.
5. Enabling trusted compute environment and application security
6. Experience in creating solution/platform/application architecture patterns and standards. Ability to deliver the information in concise and clear form, and good Visio diagramming skills.
Principal Responsibilities:
• Understand business needs and IT strategy and assets to identify optimal solution architecture appropriate to business needs and technology context. Translate complex and sometimes ambiguous business and technical requirements into sound technical solutions.
• Understand implementation context and team capabilities to provide appropriate guidance for team to successfully implement application architecture
• Partner with application owners, SME and product owners, other Architects, engineers and delivery professionals to improve our Technology Governance, Risk and Compliance solution delivery and standardization as well as influence and shape the strategic direction and target state platform architecture. Clearly capture the agreed upon results in technical designs.
• Interacting with the Architecture Office to help define, publish and maintain processes for compliance to architectural principles, guidelines and standards
• Interacting with the Architecture Office to help define, publish and maintain processes for software development and deployment, evaluation and selection of third-party products, and retirement of obsolete technologies.
• Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost effective solution for system design
• Provide guidance on technical strategy, design the overall technology architecture, mentor and coach the technical team as you implement capabilities to solve complex business problems, design innovative services to improve customer experience and speed of delivery.
• Develop and follow comprehensive DR strategies and solutions to meet internal or regulatory requirements.
• Keep up to date with emerging technologies and recommend directions and approaches based on the technology trends, business requirements and strategic vision.
• Educate the application developers, engineering teams, delivery, and support teams on standards, processes, approaches, and tools.
• Demonstrate sound judgement while assessing and mitigating risks to safeguard the firm’s and its clients’ reputation and assets in decision making following Risk management and Risk mitigations approaches.
• Support compliance to applicable laws, rules, regulations, adhering to Standards and Policies.
Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience
• Extensive work experience as a Technical Lead, Application Architect, or an Enterprise Architect.
• Years of experience in processing of global financial transactions is a significant plus
• Specialized knowledge of applications and/or financial industry is a significant differentiator among candidates. Candidates who lack such knowledge will be expected to rapidly develop financial industry domain knowledge. Position requires highly advanced analytical skills and demonstrated leadership capability.
