Java Developer

Our  Institutional Technology team is looking for an experienced Java/Scala developer to join the Data Governance and Data Quality (DQ) platform core team. Responsibilities The candidate will contribute to the design and development of the next-generation Data Quality and Metadata Management platform. This platform captures DQ exceptions from various upstream applications in different formats in an optimal way, allowing downstream applications to efficiently extract these violations via RESTful services.

As a member of the Java/Scala core development team, the candidate will be responsible for:

* Designing, implementing, and maintaining tools for the DQ platform.
* Collaborating with the BI reporting team to generate dashboards.
* Working with core team members on DQ rule design and execution. The DQ/Governance platform is widely used across the Company, including in Institutional Securities, Firm Risk, Finance, Compliance, and Operations Technology.

Required Skills:
* Experience in Java/Scala development : 5 years +
* Strong knowledge of Spring and Spring Boot
* Exposure to RESTful APIs
* Understanding of database concepts, SQL, and stored procedures
* Proficiency in Unix and Shell Scripting
* Familiarity with Git and Jenkins (CI/CD pipeline)

Nice-to-Have Skills:
* Knowledge of Spark SQL and Python
* Experience with Agile methodology
* Finance domain knowledge
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects
